Lior Amsellem is a software entrepreneur and founder working on technology products across business management, artificial intelligence, nutrition and real estate. His projects include Servio, an operating system for local service businesses; Servio Restaurant, a host-stand and menu platform for independent restaurants; BetterBite, an AI-assisted nutrition tracker; and PropVision, a real-estate investment analyser. Together they are the foundation of Blackmount Group, the financial technology venture he is building toward over the long term.[1]

Overview

Amsellem builds and operates a small portfolio of software products as a solo founder, handling product, engineering, design, marketing, customer support and company administration himself. The products share a common thread: each takes an activity that small operators usually run across several disconnected tools — a service business's bookings and invoices, a restaurant's host stand, a person's food log, an investor's spreadsheet — and puts it in one place with the numbers visible.

The portfolio is organised around a longer view. Business software that sees bookings, jobs, orders and invoices sees the activity behind a payment; Amsellem's stated long-term interest is in building financial tools on top of that context, which is the premise of Blackmount Group.

Background

Amsellem started building early. Before there was a company, or a customer, or a reason, there were small apps and websites made because an idea would not leave him alone — tools for himself, then for people around him, each one finished and put in front of someone rather than left in a folder. He has described that habit, of shipping a thing and watching what a real person does with it, as the only education in building he has ever trusted.

The entrepreneurial streak arrived with the building, not after it. From the first projects he treated software as something people should want badly enough to pay for, which is why his products tend to start from a specific, slightly unglamorous problem — a missed booking, a table nobody knows is free, a label nobody can read — rather than from a technology. He is based in Miami, Florida, and still runs product, engineering, design and sales as one person, a habit that has stayed with him as the portfolio grew.

Entrepreneurship

Rather than raising capital around a single idea, Amsellem has built several products in parallel and let real usage decide where to concentrate. Consumer products such as BetterBite and PropVision doubled as training grounds for distribution — short-form video, App Store optimisation, pricing experiments — while Servio, aimed at businesses, became the commercial focus. In late 2026 the operating priority is explicit: founder-led conversations with Miami service businesses and independent restaurants, pilots rather than free trials, and the first paying customers.

Servio

Main article: Servio

Servio (servio.fit) gives a local service business — a mobile detailer, a cleaner, a photographer, a trainer — one system for the whole chain from booking to payment: a booking page under the business's own brand that can take a deposit, a customer list, job scheduling, a crew view, invoices and an AI-generated website. It is live and being marketed to real service businesses, beginning with mobile auto detailing in Miami.

BetterBite

Main article: BetterBite

BetterBite (trybiteai.com) is a nutrition and food-tracking app for iPhone that logs a meal from a photo or barcode and reports calories and macronutrients, with recipes, meal plans and an AI coach. It is free to use; a Pro tier exists for meal plans, coaching and weekly insights.

PropVision

Main article: PropVision

PropVision (propvision.app) analyses a US property address and returns value and rent estimates, comparable sales, capitalisation rate and cash flow, each marked as known data, an estimate or a calculated value, and ends on a buy-or-skip verdict.

Blackmount Group

Main article: Blackmount Group

Blackmount Group is the financial technology venture Amsellem is building toward: financial tools — payout tracking, true profit, cash-flow forecasting, dispute handling, and in time payments and banking products through partners — grounded in the operational data his business software already sees.

Other projects

Smaller products and experiments include Counterbill, a tool that drafts appeals against medical bills; Juno, a macOS assistant prototype; and a handful of web experiments. Each is labelled by status on its own page.

Technology and development approach

Amsellem's products run on a deliberately small stack: Next.js and SwiftUI front ends, Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects and KV for back ends, managed Postgres for data, Stripe Connect for payments with the merchant holding its own account, and Vercel or Cloudflare for hosting. He develops with AI coding assistants as a core part of the workflow — planning, writing and reviewing code with them rather than hand-writing every line — and treats that as the normal way a solo founder ships several products at once. Verification in production, written post-mortems, and pages that state which features are live and which are not are recurring habits across the portfolio.[2]

Interests and philosophy

Three ideas recur in how Amsellem describes his work. First, distribution is the constraint, not product: a feature is worth building only when a customer is blocked from signing up, activating or paying without it. Second, truth on the page: a product's own site should say plainly what is live, in review, pilot-only or planned. Third, the long game runs through boring plumbing — payouts, invoices, disputes, cash — rather than through the most visible screen.

Long-term vision

The near-term goal is specific and unglamorous: the first three genuinely active Servio businesses and the first paying customer. The long-term goal is Blackmount Group: a financial platform that understands the business activity behind each payment, grown step by step from the software merchants already use into payments and, eventually, banking.
